Creo que es la tercera vez que digo «se acabó, he terminado mi ejército». Pero espero que esta sea la última. Aquello que inicié como una fuerza de 1500 puntos para nuestra liga de pintura allá por el 2018 ha acabado extendiéndose un año más y alcanzado los 3000 puntos (aunque la idea es tener una lista competente a tan solo 2000 puntos). Ha sido un viaje de dos años interesante, lleno de experimentos y descubrimientos interesantes para acelerar la pintura y tolerar la bajada de nivel. Y esto no habría sido posible sin la iniciativa y subsecuente apoyo/desafío del grupúsculo de ModelBrush.
La última pieza de mi ejército ha sido el Mortis Engine, una miniatura que de lo espectacular que es nunca quise comprarla por el perezón máximo que me parecía pintarla. Pero al final cayó para cerrar mi lista con un batallón. En todo caso, la idea a la hora de pintarla ha sido la misma que para todo el ejército: buscar la forma más rápida y efectiva.
Los fantasmas de la base los pinté en un periquete de color blanco con el aerógrafo y después les metí un lavadito del technical Nihilakh oxide de Citadel diluido con su thinner 50/50. Tras recuperar un poco el blanco con un pincel seco, me dio por probar las pinturas shaders de AMMO, que vienen a ser veladuras aplicadas con el aerógrafo. Con un shader violeta le metí unos toques muuuy sutiles en la parte inferior.
Para el palanquín, tras aplicar un gris oscuro con el aerógrafo pase a aplicar varios pinceles secos, primero con gris claro y luego con blanco. Para romper la monotonía, además de los detalles metálicos o las rosas rojas de las escaleras, decidí hacer un pequeño efecto de iluminación u OSL con la pintura flúor verde de Green Stuff World. El efecto lo apliqué en la cámara ubicada en la parte trasera, y la idea es que las llamas de las velas del altar que están dentro son la fuente de luz (es decir, el interior de la cámara es lo único iluminado de verde). Esto lo hice en 5 minutos tras varias pasadas con el aerógrafo. También le metí un OSL al negromante, para representar el reflejo de la olla verde, disparando el aerógrafo desde la parte inferior.
Además, probé a recrear como fuego verde en los esqueletos de piedra que flanquean el palanquín. Primero pinté a pincel y color blanco todas las llamas, sin tocar el esqueleto. Después pasé al aerógrafo y apliqué la pintura flúor. Y para terminar, aerografía pintura negro en la parte superior. Es decir, la idea es ir del blanco -situado en la parte inferior de las llamas- hasta el negro puro -situado en el extremo superior.
Y para terminar, me tocó preparar otra tanda de arbustos morados. Estos no se pueden comprar de este color, así que pinté arbustos de color marrón claro o dorado de Tajima1 con un pincel seco de morado.
