Mordheim – Mariemburg Warband (500gc)

I’m starting a new Mordheim -my favourite GW’s game- campaign over here, in Joensuu (Finland), and therefore I’ve updated my old Mariemburg warband.

To create my band I’ve used only GW’s miniatures, but from different armies. The core of the band is formed by the official Mariemburg miniatures, with the exception of one of the youngbloods, who has a missed arm. But probably I will save it with some kind of transformation. In addition, I’ve two Great Sword from the WFB Empire army. One of them has an axe instead the greatsword. The rest of the band is formed by my Dogs of War models: Marksmen of Miragliano (one marksman), Pirazzo’s Lost Legion (one marksman and one pikeman) and Braganza’s Besiegers (one marksman without shield). I’ve also a Reiter from old GW Empire miniatures.

I painted all models 4 or 5 years ago, although I’ve repaired some parts of them. About the reinforcements, I want to include more regular figures (Pirazzo’s soldier?). In fact I have a mercenary ogre 🙂

This is the list I have prepared to play the campaign (500gc+100gc because Mariemburg rules). I’ve selected toughened leather armours instead of light armours because I can save 15gc/armour!. The idea is to divide the band in three parts: marksmen (3 figures) and two close combat groups (4+5 figures). I can use the youngblood and warriors in front of each line, to absorve the enemy charges. And therefore I can use my swordmen, champions and captain to charge and destroy my enemies. What do you think?
