Hoy os traemos in artículo de «review» para mostraros los arbustos o matas de césped electroestático de nuestros amigos británicos de Tajima1 miniatures.
Los arbustos o «grass tufts» eran un tanto anecdóticos y raro era verlos decorando las peanas de nuestras miniaturas para wargames no hace ni dos lustros. Sin embargo, en los últimos años hemos visto una explosión de marcas ofreciendo arbustos de diferentes tamaños, colores y texturas. Las calidades y precios son MUY variables, y por eso hoy nos gustaría presentaros estos arbustos de Tajima1, ya que por fin un servidor (Rubén) ha encontrado la relación calidad / precio que buscaba.
Uno de los grandes problemas que he visto en muchos de los arbustos que he comprado durante estos años es que de la lámina de arbustos una parte es totalmente inservible. Bien porque los arbustos estén «despeinados», con apenas fibras; o lo que es más común y más desastroso, que el arbusto/fibras esté tumbado completamente hacia un lado. Además, muchas veces los arbustos están hechos sobre la lámina de forma un tanto aleatoria lo que a veces da lugar a arbustos demasiado grandes que toca trocear. Esto puede ser muy útil en algunas ocasiones, pero para mis peanas de figuras de 15mm -lo que más pinto- es un inconveniente, ya que los trozos recortados no quedan con la forma de cono invertido (las fibras se abren diametralmente en la parte de superior) que busco en un arbusto.
Por suerte finalmente di con los arbustos de Tajima1 miniatures. Cada lámina viene con una colección de 120 matas de césped electroestático colocadas de forma simétrica y con una forma perfecta. Es decir, se puede aprovechar los 120 arbustos; el 100% de la lámina. Y al tener una forma definida, se pueden usar en cualquier circunstancia. Es cierto que al tener todos el mismo tamaño y forma el resultado puede ser monótono y aburrido. Pero precisamente para eso tenemos fibras de tres tamaños diferentes -2, 4 y 6mm-, lo que nos permite crear diferentes combinaciones de arbustos. Otro gran aliciente de estos arbustos es que son autoadhesivos. Es decir, según los despegamos de la lámina podemos directamente aplicarlos sobre la peana, sin necesidad de aplicar cola blanca ni anda.
Cada caja de 120 arbustos cuesta de media sobre las 5 libras y tenemos muchas opciones entre las que elegir. Como ya os imaginaréis, hay diferentes colores: dorado, marrón, verde oscuro, verde claro, etc; y como ya hemos adelantado antes, diferentes tamaños: pequeño, medio y grande. Yo normalmente compro las cajas que traen un mix de los tres tamaños para poder crear variedad en mis peanas. Y a pesar del ritmo al que pinto, una caja me dura fácilmente un año. Además de estos productos «básicos», Tajima también tiene un tamaño adicional, extra largo (para miniaturas de 15m queda fuera de lugar, a no ser que sea para recrear jungla) y luego una serie de productos de vegetación un tanto original: tenemos arbustos con hojas (leafy tufts) que personalmente me encantan por el contraste que generan, tiras de cultivos, arbustos con flores o bayas, agregados con una mezcla de diferentes tipos de vegetación y hasta bloques de nieve.
Personalmente, ya uno uso otros. ¡100% recomendables!
